was born in Baku, on September 7, 1946.

In 1971 she has earned her secondary and higher music education in the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (department of theory-composition, specialization in composition). Since 1973 she's been the member of the Union of the composers. Since 1976 to 1979 she 's been a graduate student in philosophy faculty of the department of aesthetics of the Moscow State University named after M.Y. Lomonosof. While graduating she's defended the doctoral thesis: « the problem of musical art in the aesthetics of Hehel» and has earned her Ph.D. In 1990 at Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Republic she's defended the doctoral thesis: « the historical and philosophical analysis of musical culture of the Antiquity and еhe Middle ages (in the context of an East - West problem) ». In 1992 she's become a Professor..

Abdullazadeh G.A. achieved the opening and functioning of two scientific and practical laboratories on development of music of folklore tradition and the practical application; and also the restoration and improvement of the Azerbaijan national instruments, which then formed an ensemble of ancient instruments named after Urmevi and has received the status of the State ensemble (with repertoir of the works of the Middle Ages on musical records restored in conditions of scientific laboratory.

G. Abdullazadeh is also the professor of the department of history and theory of the Azerbaijan national music. As composer she teaches the arrangement, and as philosopher - aesthetics.

Abdullazadeh Gulnaz is the author of a number of articles, methodical researches, monographies and brochures such as « Philosophical essence of Azerbaijan Mugams », «Philosophical essence of musical art », «Azerbaijan philosophy » (in the co-authorship with professor А.Shukurof), « Music, man, society», « Musical culture of the Antiquity and the Middle Ages », « Music. The man. Society», «Musical aesthetics of Hehel» etc.

In 1998 professor G. Abdullazadeh was awarded with the Y. Mamedaliyev premium.

For today she is working on the monograph «Nizami in music ».

Now she is the pro-rector in the Baki Music Academy.
